Whiling away a rainy afternoon

On my first holiday for a couple years
As always it rained
My uncle, aunt and I
Found things to do
To relieve the stress and strain
Of torrential downpours
And unrequited
Psychological pain
Such as mall shopping
The areas the size
Of numerous sports fields
And playing hand rummy
While the rain spattered
Chucked and poured
We whiled away the hours
Drinking arak and rum
No chance of getting bored!
